An app developed for Android smart phones, monitoring and managing trailer’s safety and efficiency functions, OptiLink™ offers drivers and fleet managers easy access to 18 trailer control and monitoring functions. This allows access to the widest range of products through a single mobile device.
OptiLevel™
OptiLevel™ is a modular system entailing electronically controlled air suspension for trailers. The integration of 6 basic suspension functions reduces fuel consumption, and makes cargo loading and unloading operations safer and more efficient.
Memory Level
The Memory Level function allows the drivers to set six pre-programmed trailer height levels. By activating the memory function, the trailer height is adjusted automatically to the programmed level.
SmartBoard
SmartBoard is an easy-to-use control device for use with trailers, enabling the operation and viewing of EBS-E and suspension functions.
OptiTurn™
The intelligent OptiTurn™ function increases the turning radius of the trailer by up to 0.5m, improving the driver’s ability to steer his trailer through short curves. It also makes maneuvering easier at loading bays and city centers.
SafeStart
The SafeStart function automatically brakes the trailer when the driver begins to drive off with a trailer still in loading or unloading mode. This innovative function is specifically designed for tipper and tanker trailers.
TailGUARD™ Trailer
Rear blind spot detection system that automatically stops the trailer in the event of an imminent collision. TailGUARD™ technology increases vehicle safety during reversing operations by detecting small, large, static and moving objects in the blind spot behind the vehicle and automatically brakes the trailer.
Return-to-Load Level
Return-to-Load Level automatically adjusts the vehicle height to the predefined Memory Level or chassis height to ensure quick and safe operation of a forklift or pallet truck, maintaining the selected chassis height while loading and unloading.
Trailer Immobilizer
The Trailer Immobilizer is an electronic locking system with high security that blocks the wheels of a parked trailer, to help prevent theft, unauthorized use or erroneous pick-up by the wrong driver. It also increases security and safety when the trailer is parked on a slope.

OptiLoad™
The innovative OptiLoad™ functionality virtually redistributes cargo weight between the axles of the truck-trailer combination, helping to prevent axle damage due to excessive weight. OptiLoad™ also helps truck drivers and fleet operators comply with regulations for maximum weight per axle.
ECAS 2.0 (Electronically Controlled Air Suspension)
ECAS 2.0 system allows the driver to independently lift and lower the trailer chassis from left to right or front to rear. It is one of the six functions of OptiLevel™.
Overload Warning
Overload Warning detects when trailer axles are overloaded. The axle load is displayed on the Trailer Remote Control in the truck cabin, on the SmartBoard display on the trailer itself, or on the Telematics web portal via the TX-TRAILERGUARD™ Telematics system. If the axles are overloaded, the Overload Warning system illuminates a red warning lamp on the SmartBoard.

Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS)
The Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) helps prevent a vehicle’s wheels from locking in the case of excessive actuation of service braking system, especially on slippery roads. ABS helps the driver to keep control of the vehicle during emergency maneuvers and optimizes the stopping distance compared to blocking wheels.
Trailer Electronic Braking System
Customizable central platform for the intelligent control of more than 40 functions that enhance trailer efficiency and safety. Electronic activation of the EBS braking components reduces response and build-up times. This in turn reduces braking distance by several meters, which can be decisive in some situations. The integrated ABS function ensures driving stability and steerability throughout the braking procedure.
Rollover Stability Support (RSS)
Rollover Stability Support (RSS) helps prevent vehicle roll-over within physical limits. The vehicle’s electronic control unit analyzes wheel speed, load information and transverse acceleration data to detect the likelihood of vehicle roll-over before the driver realizes there is a risk and automatically applies the brakes.
Emergency Brake Alert
Emergency Brake Alert will automatically flash the trailer’s stop lights during hard braking to warn trailing drivers in order to reduce the risk of rear-end collisions.
Tilt Alert
Tilt Alert warns the driver if a lifting Tipper reaches its physical limits of stability to prevent it from tilting over. The SmartBoard control box displays the exact angle of inclination. When unloading bulk cargo on a non-horizontal surface, it is possible for the vehicle to tilt if the trailer’s center of gravity oversteps the limit of stability.
Router and Repeater
The WABCO CAN Router and Repeater provide full EBS functionality on extra long vehicles and combined vehicles. The Router / Repeater is mandatory for all vehicles exceeding the CAN brake line of 18 meters.
Return to Ride
After loading or unloading, the Return-to-Ride function automatically adjusts the trailer chassis to the safe driving level once the vehicle exceeds a pre-defined speed level.
Trailer Remote Control
Trailer Remote Control is an innovative display-and-control unit for trailers. The unit is mounted inside the truck cabin and allows the driver to see the distance to detected objects behind the trailer, tire pressure alerts, the locking status of the Trailer Immobilizer and an alert for brake pad wear.
