Rollover Stability Support (RSS) helps prevent vehicle roll-over within physical limits. The vehicle’s electronic control unit analyzes wheel speed, load information and transverse acceleration data to detect the likelihood of vehicle roll-over before the driver realizes there is a risk and automatically applies the brakes.
Helps prevent the trailer from rolling over when driving too fast or during emergency maneuvers.
Helps to maintain trailer stability, even if the tractor is not equipped with a Rollover Stability Control system.
Easy to activate in Trailer EBS D (since 1998) and Trailer EBS E (since 2007).
Automatically applies brake even before the driver realizes that the trailer has begun to roll over.
Simultaneously monitors trailer wheel speed, lateral acceleration and cargo load.
Detects when a trailer wheel is lifting and may lose contact with the ground.
Automatically releases the brakes when the vehicle stabilizes again.
