For the new functionality in the DTCO 2.2 and in particular for the testing and setup of the new CAN data acquisition, the VDO Workshop Tablet is required when DTCO 2.2 universal devices are used. It is also necessary to promote conversion to the DTCO 2.2 CAN Services during sales drives.
Access to WABCOWÜRTH W.EASY functions using VDO WorkshopTab
Workshops using Continental’s VDO WorkshopTab are now able to use the functions of the multi-brand diagnostic system W.EASY by WABCOWÜRTH. This makes automotive mechatronics work easier in commercial vehicle workshops, because the number of input devices is reduced, simplifying access to the diagnostic data.
VDO WorkshopTab was designed as a tool for tachograph inspections; yet the new functions can also be combined as part of a normal workshop where required. The tablet provides time and cost advantages, and makes the service procedures much easier and faster. Online updates allows access to latest data at all times. Workshops can now diagnose trucks, trailers, buses and transporters from the same input device when used in conjunction with the W.EASY + Box. W.EASY integrates the original WABCO system diagnostics and the original Haldex Trailer diagnosis into just one system. This eliminates the time-consuming changing of diagnostic boxes and connection cables. The VDO WorkshopTab uses various interfaces to connect to the W.EASY diagnosis box.
